About Me
Lebanese Hardware, American Software. I'm an engineer and investor based in Menlo Park, California.
Work
- Right now I'm building Center. We recently pivoted, prior to that we built blockchain developer tools for 3 years (2.5 too many, in retrospect).
Prior:
- First Entrepreneur in Residence at Paradigm.
- Wrote the Uniswap v3 Liquidity Mining contract
- Coinbase: recruiting, then led the crypto-assets team that added native support for >$10B of tradable assets.
- Patched Ripple's most popular wallet the night before live on Coinbase.
- dv01: co-founded a fixed income analytics software company that got acquired by Fitch in 2023.
- Also: Priceonomics (YC W2012), LendingHome, both acquired.
Fun
- Own a
/24IPv4 block. - Run bare metal Kubernetes colocated at Hurricane Electric (where this site is hosted). I didn't strictly need this.
- Meridian Metal & Fiber is a small infrastructure company I run. Yes, BGP is on the roadmap.
- Using PostgreSQL for things it wasn't meant to do, like solving crossword puzzles and GPS trilateration.
Education
I studied Systems & Information Engineering at the University of Virginia, where I was a Rodman Scholar.
